About Dehn Engineering 

Dehn Engineering Inc. is dedicated to creating realistic solutions to real-world problems.

Founder David Dehn, graduated from University of Missouri Rolla with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. He Worked as an automation engineer, machine designer and manager for Square D Company, Briggs and Stratton and as Systems Project Manager at Asea Brown Boveri (ABB Robotics) and later at Fanuc Robotics Paint Systems Group before starting Dehn Engineering.

Initially David developed and holds several patents on a dispensing method called Econoprime and Remote Econoprime which uses bulk felt which is saturated and wiped on the glass by a standard 6-axis robot. This system was proven at Tier 1 suppliers and used in production facilities. Primer
width flexibility and detection was more difficult to control. Dehn Engineering Inc continued and began working together with Designetics to develop and patent several improved comprensive systems.

Designetics Krueger Autoprime

Designetics Krueger AutoPrime was developed by Designetic's Wally Krueger and David Dehn. Designetics hold several patents on the state of the system. The system makes the once difficult task of primer dispensing to a reliable, flexible and controlled method. Designetic's full array of 400+ tip styles can be used on the machine.

When the task is dangerous, dirty or requires high quality, solutions developed by Dehn handle the job. Adaptable, tough and reliable, AutoPrime achieves excellence in applying primers when people can't. The AutoPrime robot searches and picks glass from a rack of parts. AutoPrime allows multiple tips, multiple primers, high speed dispensing to 1000mm/s applications and real time detection. AutoPrime is a creative solution that makes life safer and easier for people in the glass industry for supplying preprimed glass to automotive assembly plants.

Smarter Ways To Get Things Done

ControlPrime.
When parts are presented to the robot via a conveyor vs. a rack of parts customers sometimes want the robot to dispense on the end of arm with ControlPrime. ControlPrime uses Designetic's tip options and the feather touch patented compliance technology for dispensing with multiple tip configurations on the robot.  Maintenance free FlexFlow technology.

PrecisionPrime
Many manufacturer's still prefer to dispense manually. PrecisionPrime uses Designetics 2000 dispense gun and any tip option. Multiple primers can be dispensed per unit. Primer with suspended solids can be recirculated to the dispense point and continuous circulated at 3 gallons/min. Maintenance free FlexFlow technology. Primer application verification detection is an option.
